With the original layout and formatting, Proderma's website now features an excellent, native-like English version. The project was no easy feat, neither from the point of view of machine translation software nor human translators, as the website features much specialist vocabulary. It also features a number of graphic elements containing text, which makes it harder to process. Before translation proper, our linguists carried out extensive research to produce field-specific glossaries, which helped them to quickly come up with a top-notch target text. Recently, many garage-born start-ups have gone great guns and yielded quite a profit for their authors. Young authors often lack the motivation to carry out their projects, which may have the potential to change the face of the Web. We wanted to contribute to promoting young talents by helping them reach international audience. This is why Globaliser co-sponsored Hackfest.
